I’m home after 5 frozen days in Kiev. I must admit visiting Ukraine during the winter months wasn’t the best idea of mine. It was minus 15 most days which made going outside rather difficult no matter how many layers of clothing you put on. I was meant to land in London Friday 8 pm, instead I got back 4 am because of weather conditions here London. I was rather annoyed or better say pissed off esp since I had to get to work 9 am. When will UK learn to cope with “severe weather conditions” and what’s so severe with a few cm of snow? We deal with far worse in Sweden and all our plans take off and land on time. Anyhow when we finally landed I was delighted and when I arrived home I was in the best of mood. I was reflecting on how amazing it felt to return home and how much I love my life here. I didn’t even mind not getting any sleep or going off to work a few hours later. Now my big worry is Tuesday…we are meant to fly to Tenerife (our holiday home) to spend Christmas with the family. Delays are guaranteed but cancellations? Please snow, hold on for a bit.
